Aiming for Top UK Universities
At Seven Springs Education, we help students build the confidence, skills, and exam technique needed to stand out in the competitive university admissions process. Whether you're applying for Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Psychology, PPE or other selective courses, our specialist tutors guide you every step of the way.
What Are TMUA and TSA?

TMUA - Test of Mathematics for University Admission

TMUA assesses mathematical reasoning, problem-solving and logical thinking. It’s required or recommended by universities such as Cambridge, LSE, Warwick, Durham and more.

TSA – Thinking Skills Assessment

TSA tests critical thinking, problem-solving, data interpretation and (for some courses) essay writing. It’s used by universities like Oxford, Cambridge and UCL for courses such as PPE, Economics & Management, Psychology, Human Sciences, and Geography.
These assessments help universities identify students with strong analytical ability, not just high grades.

Why These Exams Matter
A strong TMUA or TSA score can significantly strengthen a student’s application and improve their chances of receiving an offer from top Russell Group and Oxbridge universities. They allow admissions teams to assess potential, reasoning skills and readiness for academically rigorous courses.
